Microsoft is making a free version of Windows 10 that will run on the upgraded, quad-core microcomputer.
Microcomputing fans observe - there's another Raspberry Pi nearby.
The all-new board brings an assemblage of new equipment, including a Broadcom 900MHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor and 1GB of RAM. Those updates, the Raspberry Pi Foundation says, make the Pi 2 Model B a significantly more compelling machine - not simply a decent machine at its $35 cost.
The Raspberry Pi is an amazingly basic machine that can be yours for almost no cash. It looks and feels extremely essential, however can be incorporated with any number of geeky projects, and is intended to get youths inspired by coding.
"It's been effective beyond anything we could ever imagine," said Raspberry Pi Foundation author Eben Upton at the London launch of the Pi 2 Model B, noting that since launch, 4.5 million Pi sheets have been sold to date.

The Pi 2 Model B is the spin-off of a year ago's B+, and keeps the same enticing $35 (generally £23 or Au$45) sticker, going on special today from Element 14 and RS Components. The Foundation says the new load up is six times more effective than its ancestor, and will make it sufficiently solid to run Windows 10, and the more regular Linux working frameworks.

Raspberry Pi is on an impact course with Microsoft's up and coming Windows 10 working framework. "Throughout the previous six months," the Raspberry Pi Foundation composes on its blog, "we've been working nearly with Microsoft to bring the pending Windows 10 to Raspberry Pi 2. A note of alert - the adaptation of Windows 10 that the Pi 2 winds up running could be truly distinctive to the ordinary, customer driven form of Windows 10 that most machines will be running.
